University 101 Program
The WVU University 101 office coordinates and collaborates with other University offices to provide programming for first-year students transitioning from high school to college. It organizes University 101, which is a one-credit course required for graduation. University 101 and other University programs create a seamless package of orientation programs that include academic support services, outstanding faculty mentoring, and innovative student life programming. The University 101 office has helped foster a higher retention rate among first-year students, and has made the overall experience for University freshmen more enjoyable with programs such as Welcome Week.
