First-Year Experience course

All incoming first time freshman and transfer students with less than 29 credit hours are required to take a first-year experience course during their first term at West Virginia University. To meet the graduation requirement for WVU, students must earn a passing grade as defined by the department/course coordinator. The course will envelop a range of academic components needed to achieve student success and successfully transition to West Virginia University.

Sophomore/Junior Year Experience
The Sophomore/Junior Experience determines the needs of sophomores and juniors and provides appropriate services and programs to help ensure their success as they transition from their first or second year.

Senior Year Experience
The Senior Year Experience focuses on the personal, career, and academic growth of seniors. This exciting approach to student development creates an environment that is optimal for learning, growing, and graduating.
